Mbunga is MSU's MVP

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Montana State senior center Divaldo Mbunga, who led the Big Sky Conference in rebounding and blocked shots, was named the MVP of the Bobcat men's Basketball team.

Mbunga also shared the team's defensive player of the year award with junior guard Will Bynum, who led the league in steals.

Coach Brad Huse announced the awards.

Junior forward Branden Johnson received the student-athlete award and junior guard James Hennessy received the Bobcat Award.

Freshman guard Austin Brown received the community service award and was named the team's most improved player.

Sophomore guard Erik rush received the strength award and took the most charges on the season.
