MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The Minnesota Wild expect to be aggressive buyers when NHL free agency begins tomorrow. New general manager Chuck Fletcher isn't commenting on negotiations with star winger Marian Gaborik. Fletcher and team owner Craig Leipold have said they'd like the franchise's all-time leading scorer to return.

ATLANTA (AP) Top scorer Seimone Augustus is out for the season but the Minnesota Lynx are out to prove they can still be contenders. They try to build on Saturday's 29-point victory margin in Phoenix and win their third game in a row tonight when they visit the Atlanta Dream.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings have signed fifth-round draft pick Jasper Brinkley. The linebacker from South Carolina is expected to compete for time as a backup linebacker and be a big contributor on special teams.
