Big Weekend in TownerJul 1 2009 7:17PM
KXMCTV Minot The Towner Rodeo Association has been hosting it's yearly competition for exactly 50 years and this weekend, their family rodeo is set to bring in over 200 participants. Another anniversary is also taking place, as Towner High School celebrates 100 years of graduates. Over 400 alumni will be gathering for an all-school reunion starting tomorrow morning. Don Green is a 1955 Towner graduate who says he's very excited to see old classmates. He has attended many reunions over the years, but says this one is extra special. (Don Green, Towner Alumnus) "It's nice to have the all-school reunion because you see people that you've known years ago that are 5 years older than you, or 5 years younger than you, or whatever. Most of them are younger than me." Towner's 100-year All-School Reunion will begin tomorrow and run through Sunday. The 50th annual Towner Rodeo kicks off on Friday and continues Saturday. A 4th of July parade will also take place at 10:30 am on Saturday.
