Bail stays at $250,000 in knife fight caseMar 21 2007 8:24PM
Associated Press Wesley McPhail appeared at a bond hearing this morning in Northeast District Court in Cavalier. He said he had about eight-thousand-dollars to spring for bail, and asked for a court-appointed lawyer. McPhail is charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of another man behind the Lounge Bar in Drayton early Sunday morning. Authorities say the other man had knife wounds to the face and stomach. Pembina County State's Attorney Stuart Askew said McPhail is facing a serious charge and is a danger to the community. He said bail should not be reduced. (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press.
