Authorities still waiting for forensic tests for Hettinger couple

Adams County Sheriff Eugene Molbert says he's still waiting for forensic tests to reveal more details about the deaths of a retired Hettinger couple who disappeared in mid-August.

Norman Olson and his wife, Yvonne, were both found shot to death last month, but authorities still aren't sure if anyone else was involved in their deaths.

Molbert says there are no suspects in the case. He says he wants the state crime lab to take all the time it needs to perform the forensic tests.

Molbert says the Olsons died of gunshot wounds, and a pistol similar to one missing from their home was recovered with Norman Olson's body.

Molbert says the state crime lab is performing forensic tests to determine if the Olsons were killed with the recovered handgun. Forensic experts are also looking for fingerprints, and analyzing samples from the Olsons' car to determine if anyone else was involved in their deaths. | save this article / add to your favorites list
