Couple gets rain on wedding day, gets wedding rings free

READING, Mass (AP) Massachusetts couple Paul Tammaro and Arlene Wenz were ecstatic about the pouring rain on their wedding last Saturday.

It meant they are the first to win back the cost of their engagement and wedding rings in a jeweler's unique promotion.

Richard Berberian (bayr-BAYR'-ee-ehn) of Elyse Fine Jewelers says he was looking for a way to stand out. He came up with the idea to offer refunds for a couple's rings if it rains more than half an inch in Boston on the afternoon of their wedding.

Wenz tells the Boston Globe she "was probably the only bride that was glowing that it was raining so much." While their reception guests were telling them rain on their wedding day is good luck, the couple was responding, "You don't know how good."
