Princess Tours Scandinavian Park

It had been 24 years since her last Royal visit to the Magic City, and today Norwegian Princess Astrid took time to tour the site dedicated to remembering our Scandinavian heritage.

At the Heritage Park, her Highness spent time in the Gol Stave Church, around the waterfall, the authentic Finnish sauna, and different statues dedicated to famous Scandinavians,

Because of the cooler weather this afternoon the tour was shortened a bit, but Her Highness says she is truly impressed at the work done to preserve, honor and remember the Scandinavian heritage...

(Her Highness Astrid, Norwegian Princess) "I can see it as a crossroad or a meeting place so that they get to know people not only from Minot but from all over the states that come here for the Hostfest, and I can see that has a great meaning for the different populations from Norway and Scandinavian countries as a whole."

Princess Astrid first visited the Norsk Hostfest in Minot in 1983.

She is the sister to Norway King Harald the fifth. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
