KXMCTV Minot The group buried a time capsule at the base of the Gol Stave Church in the Scandinavian Heritage Park this afternoon. The capsule includes memorabilia about the Scandinavian Heritage Association, including information on the various nationalities represented in the group. Today's event was kicked off with a special presentation of the 50 flags of American states, with two visiting students from Norway carrying two of the flags. (Mark Anderson, Scandinavian Heritage Assoc.) "It really captures some of the important information surrounding our community, the history of the Gol Stave Church, the Scandinavian Park, all the individual societies that make up the Scandinavian Heritage Association. " The time capsule is scheduled to be opened in 50 years. Anderson said he hopes some of the middle school kids who participated today will be back then to see the capsule opened.
