Comedians Help in "Tender Harvest"Oct 10 2007 7:44PM
KXMCTV Minot Williams and Ree fans may see a side to the two comedians they've never seen before as they participate in the Tender Harvest campaign. Debbie Kuehn shows us how... They bill themselves the Indian and the White Guy, and they've been making Hostfest-goers smile for years. But this year, Williams and Ree agreed to tackle a serious issue...children with AIDS. Terry Ree "A fundraiser...helping to raise money for children with AIDS all over the world. And I think it's a great cause and we're just happy to do it." Bruce Williams "Yeah, it's a great way of introducing funds that would not normally be there from the United States. It's a Norwegian telethon actually and they raise money every year and this is the first year they've brought it to America. So Americans are now giving for this great cause." Each day at the end of their act...the duo will host a game show like contest where contestants strive to catch money in a wind booth. Bruce "We hope to raise $10,000." (And they're going to match it somehow?) "Yep, they're going to match it and it'll all go over as a gift from the Hostfest to Unite the Children. " Terry "And any left over we'll take and buy air fare and take it over ourselves." It may not be the type of material they're acustomed to, but if this fundraiser helps sick children...it will likely bring smiles to faces all over the world. Debbie Kuehn, KX News.
