Royalty Return to Hostfest

Norsk Hostfest welcomed royalty from Norway this year - Princess Astrid Ah-streed paid a visit early in the festival.

But today, there is more royalty wandering the halls.

Former kings and queens of Hostfest are getting together today and tonight for a reunion-of-sorts.

The returning royalty met this afternoon to reminisce about their time as public representatives of the Hostfest.

(Kristin McGinnis, Miss Hostfest 1998) "Because it's the 30th year anniversary of Norsk Hostfest we wanted to celebrate that by bringing back all the previous royalty. We actually had two former kings come back from Norway. One is from Skien and one is from Oslo, originally from Skien, so that's exciting. And we have one family that was the very first Miss Hostfest and her daughter was the queen two years ago and her son is the king this year."

In all, 15 former Miss Hostfests, and four former Hostfest kings made it back for this year's reunion. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
