Associated Press Washington (AP) The Obama administration will help provide additional financing for state and local housing finance agencies. The goal is to encourage mortgages for first-time homebuyers and to develop rental housing. WASHINGTON (AP) Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is warning the U.S. must address its record budget deficit and also urging countries like China to get their consumers to spend more. He says the moves would help reduce what he calls "global imbalances". CUPERTINO, Calif. (AP) Apple says strong iPhone sales helped profit to rise 47 percent in the recent quarter. Apple sold more than 7 million iPhones during the July through September period, half a million more than a year earlier. UNDATED (AP) Crude prices continue to march higher.
