Music-Art Festival at MSUOct 21 2009 7:23PM
KXMCTV Minot The name is a play on Woodstock, but this is more than a music festival. Over the next few days, music will fill the Beaver Dam at MSU's campus. But so too will some unique artwork. Today, MSU art students were working with high school students from western North Dakota, teaching them some of what they've learned about graphic design and poster art. And giving them a chance to try out the art form that they may not get to experience in high school. (Tonya Stuart, MSU Senior)"It's really rewarding because you can see all the layers build up. It's really cool - it's my favorite thing to do." (Laurie Geller, MSU Professor)"It's a chance for us to connect with the community, to connect with high school students who maybe don't get a chance to do thins kind of art or see this kind of art in a small community." MSU NOTSTOCK continues tomorrow and Friday with more local bands and poster art events.
