Flu Vaccine Clinic Traffic SlowOct 30 2009 7:22PM
KXMCTV Minot Evidence of that was on display today at the Minot Auditorium as First District Health Unit was administering the NASAl flu mist form of the vaccine. Today's clinic was the first since one earlier this week had to be cancelled after a cooling malfunction ruined hundreds of H1N1 vaccine shots. Crowds were very sparse this morning for the flu mist. Today was only for kids from two to four and also for healthy parents and siblings of a child younger than six months. Melissa Fettig with First District says it is important to still be vaccinated...especially since the flu season has only just begun. (Melissa Fettig, RN - First District Health Unit) "In some people you know we still have the common cold floating around and some people may mistakenly think they have the swine flu and they do not so we encourage them unless they have been tested positive for H1N1 they should still come in and get this vaccine." It still is not known when the next shipment of H1N1 injectable vaccine will arrive in Minot.
