The U-Mary women's Soccer team is used to success.

From the DAC to the NSIC, the Marauders have always been near the top and while the regular season wasn't as successful as planned, they're ready to attack the postseason.

But their first opponent is MSU Mankato, the only team in the NSIC that they haven't beaten.

Every year, the Marauders have been in the NSIC, they've made the conference tournament and have only one loss, which is something the team is proud of.

They won the NSIC tournament in 2006 and 2007, and are looking to return to that top spot.

" ( LEVI EVANS/ MARAUDERS HEAD WOMEN'S COACH) I want the swagger I want we've been here we've done that people say the statistics of we've only given up one goal in the playoffs or we haven't lost except for one game I mean those things matter and so I preach it all the time, we've never beaten Mankato we view it as a challenge because we've beaten everybody else in the conference, why can't we beat Mankato?"


Evans says defense will be the key to winning on the road, and with a team loaded with upper classmen, the Marauders are ready to win.
