KXMBTV Bismarck Good Afternoon, I'm Donnell Preskey... Progress is being made in the search for the three missing DSU Softball players... Afton Williamson, Kyrstin Gemar and Ashley Neufeld were last heard from Sunday night around 11-15. Dickinson Police Spokesperson Liutenant Rod Banyai says the dive team has completed a search of Lake Patterson. People are also searching an area north of Dickinson near Killdeer. There have been numerous sightings in the Killdeer area one including seeing the jeep around two a.m. Monday morning. Authorities are also asking for any help from professional search teams. Police say the girls were on a star gazing trip when they disappeared. Officers have searched their rooms and have interviewed friends and classmates. A female friend reported the women missing after she got a frantic call from them Sunday evening. Authorities say the connection was scratchy they mentioned they were near a lake and the call lasted 40 seconds. Another call came in shortly later lasted 30 seconds and then both phones went dead. Both calls have been traced to a cell phone towers north of Dickinson. Williamson and Gemar are originally from California. Neufeld is from Canada. The girls were driving a White 1997 Jeep Cherokee with California License plate 3UBN521.
