Good Evening I'm Lauren Kalberer...Tom Gerhardt is in Dickinson covering this story there's a press conference beginning now we'll bring you more when we know more... Brad Feldman has the latest from Dickinson. (Lenny Gemar/ Father of Kyrstin Gemar) "My wife spoke with her I want to say about midnight or after that time and you know they just chatted for a little bit like mother and daughter ddo when daughter is off at college." That late night call on Halloween would be the last time Lenny or Claire Gemar talked with their daughter.. (Fade to black) They now find themselves in the town where Twenty-two year old Kyrstin Gemar attends college and is a member of the Bluehawk softball team.. Lenny speaks candidly about his daughter's play on the field.. Off the field he says she is just like most twenty-somethings...and a recent star gazing trip is nothing out of the ordinary (Lenny Gemar/ Father of Kyrstin Gemar) "Those kinds of events weren't big. It's not something like you would schedule in your date book it was ussually an imprompt to think they decided after dinner they just wanted to go out and hang out and maybe talk about stuff." But this time, something seems to have gone terribly wrong.. (Lenny Gemar/ Father of Kyrstin Gemar) "the difficult part for me is not having any idea of what that issue might have been." Authorities are trying to piece together what evidence they have and the tips coming in.. Dickinson Police Captain Stewart Stenberg says they are focusing on two cell phone calls placed by the women the night they went missing The first around 11:18 PM this is the call to a friend seeking help and stating they were close to water.. The call went dead just forty seconds later.. A second call was placed by another woman in the Jeep just one minute later...the call lasted only thirty seconds.. (Cpt. Stewart Stenberg/ Dickinson Police) "With what information we have available to us those electronic devices right now we cannot be specific but we can be general so we want our search to be systematic and deliberate so we are just not runny ary out there." Cell phone records show the calls came from north Dickinson Police are also following up on tips saying the women were in the Killdeer area...a small town just thirty miles north of Dickinson.. A report has a white 1997 Jeep Cherokee with California plates spotted along highway two hundred at two o'clock monday morning But the truck driver did not get the license plate numbers or see how many people were in the car (Cpt. Stewart Stenberg/ Dickinson Police) "In these cases we dont want to assume anything." captain Stenberg says they have not been able to confirm any of these reports in the Killdeer area.. Leaving the DSU Campus, Community of Dickinson and especially the parents hoping for some answers soon (Lenny Gemar/ father) "All we can do is wait and see." IN Dickinson Brad Feldman KX News
