Dickinson Trinity has been a powerhouse in Football over the years and returning to their winning ways was something the team has worked for all season.

Reporter Tia Streeter has more as the 9 and 0 Titans enter the State 2A semifinals.

"(TIA STREETER/ KX SPORTS) The Trinity Titans defense has been advertised as one of the best in 2 A football, and as they takes steps to the state championship game, that defense will need to be as good as advertised

(RANDY GORDON/ TRINITY HEAD COACH) I't playoff time we're concerned about everything it's down to some really good teams you're going to pllay a good team not a weak team so we're anticipating a pretty tough game ( MICHAEL MORTENSON/ TITANS OT/DT) Just everybody knowing what they have to do and going out and doing their assignments and going 100 percent (AUSTIN FRIDRICH/ TITANS OT/DE ) It feels good compared to the last few years struggling and not having good seasons its kind of a relief to do the right thing and come out and get the job done

(TIA STREETER/ KX SPORTS) This Saturday the Titans will host Fargo Shanley, and playing at home is an advantage they haven't had the last few years, and it's something they're looking to exploit, to help them get a Win

(MICHAEL MORTENSON/ TITANS OT/DT) IT's nice for once to have a playoff game where you don't have to travel we've traveled the last two years and thats pretty hard to get off a bus and play right away (RANDY GORDON/ ) It's nice not to travel because we've done a lot of traveling this year I think you nkow our home field we don;t get there very often we'll practice over there a couple times when we have a home game and before that when it was Whitney Field we didn't get over there at all so Home field isn't like you're there every night but it's really awesome and it's nice to ply over there

(TIA STREETER/ KX SPORTS) An undefeated year in 2009 has created a buzz around the team, and they're hoping that West Region success will lead to state wide success, for KX Sports I'm Tia Streeter."


Shanley and Trinity will square off Saturday Afternoon at the Badlands Activities Center.
