high-school Cougars Prepare For CardinalsNov 3 2009 7:30PM
KXMCTV Minot The Cougars are coming off of a come from behind win over Cavalier last week and expect a defensive test from a Cardinals team that is led by running back Jon Dinius. Dave Zinke, Cougars coach:Langdon, they have a lot of speed they have a tailback Denius that's probably rushed over 2500 yards. They're quarterback is a pretty good athlete too and they have a couple big lineman so they like to run the ball, very physical up front. Defensively we have played pretty well, our line is pretty physical, our linebackers are really good and so it does come to a lot of defense this time of year. You know it's gonna be a battle because both teams want to get to the dome so yeah it's gonna be a battle. Blake Nelson, senior:i think we're playing pretty good right now playing as a team we were down the first half against Cavalier, came back strong and victory we're gonna have to shut down their running game. Nic Pfeifer, senior:i think we're playing pretty well. We're playing as a team. No one individual can step up and win a semi-final game on their own, it takes a team effort and we're playing together so I think we're doing pretty strong right now. Michael Bonn, senior:I think our defense is pretty good at stopping the run so far this year and I think if we play well, just have a great game we should be able to stop it. We just need to play with heart. "A" FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS-SATURDAY-1:30 P.M.: NORTH PRAIRIE VS (5) LANGDON/MUNICH 2 P.M.: (1) Watford City VS (2) Velva
