The story of the three Dickinson State Softball players is receiving a lot of national attention.

Network Media from the United States and Canada have crews in the Dickinson area.

One reporter, John Yang, says the story is captivating because of the two frantic phone calls. But he says what he remembers the most is Lenny Gemar, that father of Kyrstin Gemar, speaking at last nights memorial service.

(John Yang/ reporter) "Iit was just heartbreaking to hear him talk about how this is the worst day of his life but stuill he felt good about it there was something good he could take about it because so many people puleed together to try to look for his daughter and he talked about how he loved to see her play softball and how much he loved to see her play softball with her friends who died with her but also the friends who are still a live and still in that prayer service last night and how he was going to root for the team hoping they win a championship this year."


A television crew from Canada is also in Dickinson covering the story.
