A ceremony was held this morning and ground was officially broken for one of Minot's new hotels. Work has begun on the Main Stay Suites, under constructon to the south of Sleep Inn.

This extended stay hotel is a project of Investment Inc, run by Vance Castleman and his wife. This is the 10th hotel they have put up in six states, including the Comfort Inn and the Sleep Inn of Minot. Castleman says a study indicates that Minot needs more motel rooms. The 75 room Main Stay should be open by July First. Each room has a kitchen, wireless internet and other features.

Minot is getting quite a few new hotel rooms in the coming months. A Candlewood Suites is under construction near Walmart and a Hampton Inn is planned on North Broadway. watch the video | save this article / add to your favorites list
