Warm Weather Deer HuntingNov 5 2009 7:22PM
KXMCTV Minot However forecasted temperatures in the 60's will create a few challenges for the outdoorsmen. Sure the warm weather may make for easier walking but if a hunter does get their animal, they really have to be careful to get the carcass taken care of before it starts to rot. Brady Severson with S & K Meat of Minot says hunters should remember two things when it comes to taking care of their deer after it's been shot.... keep it clean and keep it cold. (Brady Severson, S & K Meats-Minot) "Bring a gallon jug of water and a couple bags of ice put them in a cooler. Because when you get the guts of the animal or the intestines of an animal you want to rinse it out right away get some of the bacteria down and put the ice in there and cool it off as soon as possible. Severson says because of the warmer weather if you get an animal early in the day don't wait to get it onto a cool place and don't dry around all day with it in the back of your truck.
