Watford City Preview

The high school Football playoffs move into their semi-final round this weekend and in the class "A" division, it's a battle of unbeatens in one semi-finals as the Watford City Wolves travel to Velva to take on the Velva Aggies. The two teams haven't faced each other since 1994.

The Wolves are coming off of a big win last week against Williams County and coach Fred Fridley feels this week will be a low scoring defensive battle.

(FRED FRIDLEY)"Well first of all I think we have to have a good job with our offensive line. They have very good defensive people up front, they are very quick, get to the ball very quick. For us to be successful I think our offensive line has to to a good job for us. I think on the other side both team's have great defenses. I don't think either team has given up more than two touchdowns each game this year. I just feel it's going to be a defensive battle, a low scoring ball game. Maybe the team that makes a mistake is going to be the team that loses the ball game."

(BRADY LUND)"Our offense is going to have to click. They have a really good defense. Our defense is going to have to come up big. They have really good runners and they can go through the air too so were really going to have to show up this weekend on defense also."

(TYLER FLATLAND)"Well we have to keep blocking good like we have. Were starting to peak right now which is really good. We just have to keep blocking so we can open up our running game which is going to be a big thing against Velva."
