The Minot High girls swim team will play host to the West Region swim meet on Saturday. The event is a good warmup for the state meet which is just a week away and is the last chance for the team to qualify more swimmers for the state meet. The Majettes are considered one of the favorites led by senior Dagny Knutson but the Majettes are expecting a challenge from at least a couple of teams in the region.

Jake Solper, MHS girls swim coach:WDA's always hopefully your 2nd fastest meet of the year and then we'll get to state so we're looking for some big things and I know it's gonna be a fast meet all the way around. The other teams in the state have been working hard this year and are looking really good also.

Abbie Naze, senior:There's gonna be some good competition, Williston and Century have some pretty good girls in their events that can lead them but I think if we just stay focused and work on what we've been doing all season I think we'll do pretty good.
