Associated Press FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) The military says the suspected gunman in the Fort Hood, Texas, mass shooting fired more than 100 rounds. Yesterday's shooting claimed 13 lives. Twenty-three people remain in the hospital, about half of them in critical condition. The suspect has been transferred to a military hospital in San Antonio. ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Authorities in Orlando say a debt-ridden man who believed his former employer was interfering with his unemployment benefits is to blame for a workplace shooting today in Orlando. One person was killed and five wounded. Jason Rodriguez was fired by the engineering firm two years ago. Washington (AP) President Barack Obama has been on the phone with lawmakers as Democratic leaders shore up support for health care reform legislation. A vote could come Saturday on the sweeping legislation. Republican leaders say their opposition is rock solid. VILLAHERMOSA, Mexico (AP) It's being called "a desperate situation" by one official.
