Latest Montana sports:

Montana-Idaho ST Montana has chance for league title Missoula, Mont. (AP) Second-ranked Montana has a chance to claim its 12th Big Sky Conference Football title in a row with a victory Saturday at Idaho State.

Kickoff at Pocatello is set for 3:35 p.m. Mountain Time.

The Grizzlies enter the contest undefeated in eight games, while the Bengals are winless this season.

Idaho State is averaging just over 10 points game, while the Griz are scoring 37 points a contest.

Montana leads the series with Idaho State 38-13 and has won 22 of the last 24 meetings, 13 of the last 14 and five in a row.

MONTANA ST-PORTLAND ST MSU plays final road game of regular season BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Montana State plays its final road game of the regular season Saturday when it meets Portland State.

Kickoff is set for 2:05 p.m. Mountain Time.

Portland State features an explosive offense that ranks 14th nationally in passing yards with 266.9 per game. Quarterback Drew Hubel is 16th in the nation in total offense with 270.1 yards per game.

Montana State coach Rob Ash has been coy this week on who he will start at quarterback.

Both Cody Kempt and Mark Iddins have been getting practice time with the starting offense this week.

And Ash says there's some merit to giving both quarterbacks playing time.

The Bobcats are 5-3 on the season. The Vikings are 2-7.

MONTANA ST-FLETCHER MSU d-end cleared to play BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Montana State defensive end Dane Fletcher returned to practice this week less than two weeks after being diagnosed with mononucleosis.

Bobcat coach Rob Ash says it will be a game-time decision on whether Fletcher plays Saturday against Portland State.

The senior from Bozeman was cleared medically to practice on Wednesday.

But Ash said the team will be closely monitoring Fletcher to make sure he is not being rushed back.

In addition, he says it will probably take a while for him to get his conditioning back.

(AP) The Montana Highway Patrol says a bus carrying the Kalispell Glacier volleyball team ran a red light and crashed into a truck, but there were no serious injuries.

The team was heading to Missoula for a playoff match when the crash happened Thursday afternoon.

Trooper J.R. Hawkins says the bus was southbound on U.S. Highway 93 in Somers when the driver failed to stop for a red light. The bus slammed into a stopped truck. The front of the bus was badly damaged and students had to evacuate out the back of the bus.

Hawkins says no citations have been issued yet, and they are still investigating the accident.

The team called another bus and continued their trip to Missoula Sentinel, which won the match 3-1 to advance to next weekend's Class AA state volleyball tournament in Bozeman.
