Associated Press MINNEAPOLIS (AP) A Sleepy Eye teen who fled Minnesota to avoid chemotherapy has completed his last cancer treatment. The family of 13-year-old Daniel Hauser says he's now cancer-free. Daniel gained national attention when he fled the state earlier this year, saying he opposed treatment on religious grounds. The governor was lined up for a keynote speech today at the GOP's annual "Leadership for Iowa" dinner. ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Minnesota's Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party will hold three debates in the next five weeks for its gubernatorial candidates. The first debate is scheduled for Nov. 8 at Minnesota State University in Moorhead. The second debate is planned for Nov. 24 at Hopkins Center for the Arts in Hopkins. A third debate will be held Dec. 7 at Macalester Chapel in St. Paul. LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (AP) A Minnesota dog breeder whose kennel application sparked protests and a lawsuit may be going out of business. Gary McDuffee is registered to sell up to 135 dogs today at an auction in Missouri and has plans to auction more in December and February. Animal rights activists fear McDuffee isn't going out of business but trying to rid himself of older dogs.
