Saints and Colts stay perfect...TCU moving up the ladder

NEW ORLEANS (AP) The New Orleans Saints are 8-and-0 for the first time in club history after Drew Brees overcame two early turnovers to pass for 330 yards and a touchdown in a come-from-behind 30-20 victory over Carolina. The Saints' defense did not intercept a pass for the first time all season, but forced three turnovers on fumbles.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indianapolis Colts remain the NFL's other undefeated team by escaping with a 20-17 victory over upset-minded Houston. Colts running back Joseph Addai (uh-DY') scored the go-ahead touchdown from two yards out with 7:11 left and the Colts came up winners when Houston's Kris Brown missed a 42-yard field goal as time expired.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Kurt Busch won at Texas Motor Speedway, taking over the lead with two and a-half laps left when his younger brother's car ran out of gas on the backstretch after leading 232 laps. Kyle Busch missed winning an unprecedented trifecta after winning the Nationwide and Camping World Truck races at Texas this weekend.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Jimmie Johnson crashed on the third lap of the Nascar race at Texas, where he was trying to move closer to an unprecedented fourth consecutive Sprint Cup season championship.

He returned in a rebuilt car and finished 38th, but his lead in the drivers standings is now 73 points over Mark Martin with two races to go.

NEW YORK (AP) Undefeated TCU took over fourth place in the Bowl Championship Series standings behind Florida, Alabama and Texas. It's the highest BCS ranking ever for a team from a conference without an automatic bid to the big-money bowl games.
