Associated Press HELENA, Mont. (AP) University of Montana kicker Brody McKnight was named the Big Sky Conference special teams player of the week. McKnight, a sophomore from Meridian, Idaho, kicked the game-winning 33-yard field goal as unbeaten and second-ranked Montana escaped with a 12-10 victory over winless Idaho State on Saturday in Pocatello, Idaho. McKnight also made a 27-yard field goal in the first quarter to put the Grizzlies up 3-0. The Big Sky also honored Northern Colorado quarterback Bryan Waggener and Sacramento State defensive back Zach Schrader. Waggener, a senior from Chino, Calif., passed for 325 yards and rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' 38-35 loss to Sacramento State. Waggener rallied the Bears from a 31-0 halftime deficit. Schrader, a junior from Issaquah, Wash., had 14 tackles, intercepted a pass and forced a fumble in the Hornets win over Northern Colorado. He tied his career high in tackles, set a career mark with seven solo tackles and returned an interception 24 yards to set up Sac State's final touchdown in the second quarter.
