Missoula, Mont. (AP) Ravalli County health officials are reporting the county's first swine Flu death. State health officials say the death is the tenth in Montana due to swine flu.

The state has launched a hotline to keep the public informed about the H1N1 virus. The new system will have information on upcoming vaccination clinics as well as the groups of people eligible to get the vaccine.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) State wildlife officials say they are shutting down wolf hunting along the North Fork of the Flathead River after the shooting of two wolves filled the area's season-long quota. Fifty-seven wolves have been taken so far this year in Montana, which is hosting its first public hunt for the predators since they were removed from the endangered species list in the spring.

GLENDIVE, Mont. (AP) A former Glendive police officer has been ordered to pay repay the nearly $2,400 he took from the Glendive Police Union and the Glendive Police Association. Franklin Robinson was charged in April with using checking accounts from both groups as well as a credit card to purchase items and receive cash back or travel reimbursement when he had been paid back.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) Montana is on the verge of getting a new basic, blue license plate that harkens back to older plates with a "Treasure State" slogan. The plate design picked by a panel today drops the "Big Sky Country" moniker that has adorned plates in recent decades.
