Associated Press ONLINE/AUTOMATED ON SCREEN FUNCTIONS OUT Some financial markets and financial index providers have begun charging licensing fees for online use and on-screen display of their information. In accorDance with this, AP has agreed to certain restrictions on how market data items may be used. Specifically, such items may be used only in print and on air. Members and other customers seeking online, Internet or wireless rights should contact their AP account manager, who can inform them about online services available from AP and from its partners, which offer licensing options for each content source. Television stations which automate the selection and formatting of these data items for on-screen display should contact their AP account manager, who can inform them about display rights, which can be obtained directly from the source. These restrictions do not apply to market stories, even if they reference specific data items. The restrictions do apply to data-only items such as tables and quotes for futures, indexes, currencies and stocks, and to headlines containing solely data-only items. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact AP Markets through our support line at 1-800-3AP-STOX. AP Broadcast News Center (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press.
