Associated Press WASHINGTON (AP) Officials say President Barack Obama is zeroing in on a decision to add tens of thousands more troops to Afghanistan. They say the deployment would most likely begin in January. The goal would be boosting the defenses of 10 key Afghan cities and towns. An announcement is expected later this month. JERUSALEM (AP) Israel's Army chief is warning that Hezbollah militants now possess tens of thousands of rockets. He adds that some of them are capable of reaching major Israeli cities, including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. UNDATED (AP) Forecasters aren't saying exactly when the eye of Tropical Storm Ida will come ashore on the Alabama coast. But its sheets of rain and stiff winds are making driving hazardous. Ida's storm surge could raise water levels 3 to 5 feet above normal. Tropical storm warnings are up in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. LAS VEGAS (AP) A 21-year-old from Michigan has become the youngest winner of the World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas. Joe Cada (CAD'-uh) chose playing cards over college.
