County brings in AG for employee investigationNov 11 2009 11:05AM
Associated Press BUTTE, Mont. (AP) Butte-Silver Bow County is calling in the attorney general's office to oversee the investigation into the conduct of two employees. Commissioners voted on the move Tuesday night. County Attorney Eileen Joyce says that a department within the local government requested the review. Commissioners are then required by law to grant the state authority to work as a special prosecutor on behalf of the local government. The subject of the investigation, completed by the Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation, has not been released. No one has been arrested yet. But Joyce says charges could come this week. Information from: The Montana Standard, http://www.mtstandard.com (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) APNP 11-11-09 1049CST |
