ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Republican state Sen. Mike Jungbauer (JUNG'-bow-er) is dropping out of the Minnesota governor's race after having trouble raising money. Jungbauer says his supporters are struggling in a tough economy and haven't been able to support him financially to stay in the race.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Two Minneapolis hotel employees are being credited with saving the life of a New Jersey man who nearly drowned in August after having a seizure in the hotel pool. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office will present the two workers, Steven Smith and Jason Cariveau, with the Minnesota Public Safety Service Award of Merit during a ceremony today.

(AP) A Monticello woman is charged with drunken driving after authorities say they found an open bottle of rum in a diaper bag in her car. Monica Say is accused of driving erratically and refusing to stop for officers right away. Her two young children were in the car with her.

(AP) A former teacher at Sleepy Eye Public High School has been sentenced to six months in jail and 15 years' probation after admitting to having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student. Forty-seven-year-old Calvin Collum, of New Ulm, pleaded guilty in September to a criminal sexual conduct charge.
