CMA AWARDS - ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR - TAYLOR SWIFT NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Taylor Swift is the youngest person ever to win the Country Music Association's highest honor: Entertainer of the Year. And, at age 19, she says she'll "never forget this moment because in this moment everything that I have ever wanted has just happened to me." Swift also breaks the male hold on the award. She's the first FEMAle artist to win since the Dixie Chicks in 2000. The CMA's were presented in Nashville last night.

CMA AWARDS - FEMALE VOCALIST - TAYLOR SWIFT NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Second time in the running and first time as the winner: Taylor Swift is the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year. As she got on the stage she said she just got a hug from Kris Kristofferson, who, with Lee Ann Womack, had presented her award.

And, Swift said with that hug, she was "good." After her thank-yous, Swift had to mention something about what happened to her at the VMAs. So she thanked everyone in the auditorium for not running up on the stage during her speech.

CMA AWARDS - MALE VOCALIST - BRAD PAISLEY NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Lots of thanks from Brad Paisley for his CMA Award as Male Vocalist. It's his third in a row. He thanks his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, country radio, his behind-the-scenes team and, of course, his fans. He also thanks those who came to his shows on tour. Paisley says it was a "fun year." Paisley also won musical event for "Start a Band" with Keith Urban.

CMA AWARDS - VOCAL DUO - SUGARLAND NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) As Sugarland accepted their CMA award for Vocal Duo, Jennifer Nettles asked Brooks and Dunn if they'd like to come up to the stage and say a few words. They shook their heads, "no." But, Nettles looked directly at them and said "thank you for what you've done for us. Thank you for for country music. It's an honor to be the same category." Meantime, Brooks and Dunn, who announced their split earlier this year, teamed with ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons on a "Honky Tonk Stomp" in their last performance as a duo at the awards.

CMA AWARDS - ALBUM OF THE YEAR - "FEARLESS" NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) You like the album "Fearless?" Then, you like Taylor Swift's diary. In Swift's acceptance speech for winning album of the year, she said "that's the nicest compliment." Swift also thanked the president of her record label.

She says he's believed in her since she was 14. And, she thanks her dad, who's believed in her her whole life.

CMA AWARDS - NEW ARTIST - DARIUS RUCKER NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) A big hug with Zac Brown and then, Darius Rucker runs to the stage at last night's CMA Awards to thank fans and his music team for accepting him in his new role as a country singer. Rucker wins as best new artist. Really that's best new "country" artist since Rucker's been around for a while as a pop singer in "Hootie and the Blowfish." That's why Rucker also thanked country radio for taking "a chance on a pop singer from Charleston, South Carolina and God Bless you all for that."

CMA AWARDS - SONG OF THE YEAR - "IN COLOR" NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) A song that can bring tears to anyone who treasures the past, has been named CMA Song of the Year. It's Jamey Johnson's "In Color." Johnson and his two fellow songwriters accepted the CMA honor. One of them, Lee Thomas Miller, says they spent time talking about their grandfathers and their generation who were in World War II, since the song includes a verse about the war. Miller says especially since it was Veteran's Day, last night's CMA award is dedicated the award to those at Fort Hood.

CMA AWARDS - HOSTS BRAD PAISLEY AND CARRIE Underwood TAKE DIG AT KANYE WEST NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The CMAs couldn't go by without a dig at Kanye West. After all, he had ruined the VMA acceptance speech of one of country's young favorites: Taylor Swift. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood sang what Paisley calls "a country classic." It was sung to the tune of the old Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson song. With Paisley on guitar, they sang "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be Kanye. Let 'em pick guitars and drive them old trucks, 'cuz cowboys have manners. They don't interrupt."

CMA AWARDS - TOTALS NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Here are your totals from last night's CMA awards: four for Taylor Swift, two each for Brad Paisley and Lady Antebellum. And, one win each for Darius Rucker, Sugarland, Jamey Johnson, Keith Urban and Mac McAnally.

BMI AWARDS - TAYLOR SWIFT NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Taylor Swift was a winner the night before the CMA Awards. For the second year in a row, she won the BMI song of the year. This time it's for "Love Story." The event also was held to honor Kris Kristofferson. And, lots of artists performed his songs including Patty Griffin, who sang "Help Me Make It Through the Night." Willie Nelson also praised Kristofferson, saying there's no better songwriter alive than him.
