Its been quite awhile since this project began, but the Pizza Ranch near Walmart is set to open to the public, Monday the 16th. Pizza Ranch is a franchise with restaurants in nine states. It's famous for its buffet, which includes pizza and chicken. In fact, Minot owner Mike Christianson says a continuous buffet will be offered for the first few weeks as customers try out Pizza Ranch . He says 13,000 vehicles drive by this area of Minot each day, and he's excited to finally be a part of the activity.

(Mike Christianson, Pizza Ranch) "Its been two and a half years, we couldn't find land, and then a contractor, but last May we hit the ground running."


Now, that the his Minot project is finished.. Christianson plans to start a Pizza Ranch in Grand Forks and then in Williston. The Pizza Ranch building In Minot has available space for a second business to locate here.

Dots Uniform Shop has moved, but not very far. Owner Camille Outhoudt moved the uniform shop across the hallway of this downtown building, and the new store La Di Dah took over her old space

DK Salon and Spa at 3108 South Broadway opened a boutique this week. Co Owners Lori Burbach and Deb Stafslein run DK Boutique featuring purses, scarves, jewelry and accessories, and unique gifts.

In the Bricks building, Beicappelli Hair Designs with Mandy Stagl is now open. The name means beautiful hair in Italian.

In Plaza, the cafe is re-opening tomorrow. It had closed a few weeks ago, but the owner of the Country Market grocery store, Betty Erickson, stepped in. It's now Country Market and Cafe, because she felt is was important for the town to have a cafe.

In Rugby, North Central Ag, an agonomy center, along on Highway 2, went into business a few weeks ago. Owner Levi Heisler has been doing this type of work for years, but decided to go out on his own. At the same time and in the same building, Corey O'Connell started O'Connell Field Service, doing crop monitoring and soil testing.

Also in Rugby, progress on the new building for North Star Community Credit Union. Concrete work is being done, and the credit union hopes to move in by early next year.
