Weekend a special one for Dagny KnutsonNov 13 2009 8:33PM
Associated Press But first, there's the state swimming meet in Grand Forks this weekend. And Knutson says she wants to end her high school career on a high note. The Majettes' streak of 15 straight West Region titles was snapped last weekend in Williston. Knutson spoke with her teammates afterward, telling them have to work together. At last year's state meet, Knutson broke three national public high school records, including one set by gold medalist Janet Evans. She went on to break Olympian Katie Hoff's record in the 400 IM and won three events at the Short Course Nationals. Her next big taste of international experience will be the Duel in the Pool, which pits the top 36 American swimmers against a combined team from England, Germany and Italy. She'll swim for Auburn University next season. Information from: Bismarck Tribune, http://www.bismarcktribune.com (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
