Missoula man arrested for DUI againNov 15 2009 3:39PM
Associated Press Missoula, Mont. (AP) A 24-year-old Missoula man was arrested for felony drunken driving, his fifth such arrest, after he drove his car off a steep embankment along Deer Creek Road. Brandon M. Darrah plunged approximately 300 feet down the embankment late Friday, officials said, totaling his vehicle and coming to rest well below the remote back road east of Missoula. He fled the crash scene, the Missoulian reported. Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Sean Finley says his officers had to rappel down to the vehicle. Finley says, "We thought there could be bodies down there." Darrah was soon found and taken to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries before being jailed at the Missoula County Detention Facility. He's scheduled to appear Monday in Missoula County Justice Court on DUI and probation-violation charges.
