The Kenmare Honkers Volleyball team is making a 4th straight appearance in the state volleyball tournament that kicks off tomorrow at the MSU dome. The Honkers won it all in 2007 and are hoping to get back to the championship game this year.

The Honkers kick things off tomorrow at 12 noon when they meet up with Wyndmere/Lidgerwood who hasn't lost a game since their season opener.

(TIM WALLSTRUM)"We play a different style of volleyball were not very big, we take our one middle Katie King out of there were a pretty small team. Our other middle is only 5'4", and but we play a lot of heart and a lot of speed and were a very good ball handling team and I think thats our strengths and whats got us as far as we've gotten. For Wyndmere/Lidgerwood we know very little about them and so it's a little tough to prepare for them. I know that they have a really good outside hitter in Maria Strauch I believe they pronounce her name, and so were looking forward to that. But we've played teams with great outside hitters before like for instance Our Redeemers."


(DAYNA FROSETH)"A lot of girls on the team have been to state, been around state either cheering or playing and it's just a great advantage I think."
