Wizards trim rosterNov 19 2009 2:49PM
KXMBTV Bismarck The Dakota Wizards have had plenty of success in past years, and with new head coach Rory White, the team is looking to take even bigger steps forward. White is no stranger to North Dakota after coaching the Fargo-Moorhead Bee's, and his new team is made up primarily of guards and forwards, so a fast paced style is expected. " (RORY WHITE/ WIZARDS HEAD COACH) We need to see if they're able to come out of time out and run the plays you know if they're gonna get nervous because the fans are there because right now we're practicing we're the only ones in the gym come Friday night there's fans in there the bright lights are on you gotta see if they're able to compete under those circumstances." Friday's exhibition game against Sioux Falls is in Hazelton. Meanwhile, the Wizards released five players today, trimming their roster to 12. They need to be at 10 by opening night.
