Jurors sentence Rodriguez to death for killing of Dru Sjodin

Fargo, N.D. (AP) Jurors have decided Alfonso Rodriguez Junior should get the death penalty for killng University of North Dakota student Dru Sjodin.

The jury of seven women and five men announced their verdict this morning.

They met for about an hour-and-a-half this morning after a full day yesterday and for about three-and-one-half hours the day before.

Rodriguez was convicted last month of kidnapping resulting in the death of Sjodin. It's the first death penalty case in North Dakota in nearly 100 years.
