1 dead, 2 injured after crash near Three ForksNov 24 2009 12:07AM
Associated Press APNewsNow. BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) The Montana Highway Patrol says a collision between a pickup truck and a semitrailer near Three Forks killed a 19-year-old UM student from Helena and injured two others. Sgt. Pat McCarthy says the pickup slid across the interstate median Sunday afternoon and collided with a semi headed in the opposite direction. Killed in the crash was Joseph Michael McKeon, who authorities say was driving the pickup back to Missoula after attending the Bobcat-Grizzly Football game in Bozeman. An 18-year-old woman who was riding in the truck was taken to a hospital, as was the 57-year-old man who was driving the semi. Their names have not been released. Authorities say speed and winter road conditions played a role in the crash, and alcohol was not a factor.
