Juror talks about stress of trialSep 22 2006 11:42PM
KXMBTV Bismarck And for the twelve jurors, it has been a stressful five weeks. The seven women and five men spent almost eight hours a day... four days a week listening to testimony, looking at evidence and deliberating Rodriguez's future. Now that the trial is over, one of the jurors spoke about the pressure he faced throughout the case. (Rodriguez Juror) the process really sucks,. to take 12 people that never knew either one........it just doesn't seem right....if the death penalty ever comes to North Dakota...I don't think I could support it.......different somehow. It was clear this was an agonizing decision for this juror. The Rodriguez case was the first jury duty he ever served, and while he said he would have chosen not to serve if he had a choice, he also felt some one has to do it. He says it's nearly impossible to describe the feelings he and his fellow jurors are experiencing and that only they are in a position to truly understand.
