Bills' Wood still recuperating in Jacksonville

Eds: APNewsNow. WILL be led.

AP Photo FLSM107 By JOHN WAWROW AP Sports Writer ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Bills rookie guard Eric Wood continues to recuperate in a Jacksonville hospital three days after breaking two bones in his left leg.

A person familiar with the injury tells The Associated Press that Wood isn't expected to return to Buffalo until Thursday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the team has not updated the player's status since Monday.

Wood had surgery to repair the compound fracture hours after he was hurt in an 18-15 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. The injury was so gruesome that CBS elected against showing more than one replay.
