They came so close, only to be turned away again.

The Bismarck High boys Hockey team lost out in the championship game last season, and the bitter taste in their mouths has remained.



The Demons have lost a number of key players, and the roster is full of freshman and sophomores, but the team will still have a target on their backs.

Consistently at the top of the West year in and year out, Head Coach Mike Pelsuo plans to build this team into a powerhouse and it starts with the basics.



" (MIKE PELUSO/ BHS HEAD COACH) I think it kind of builds a reputation for the kids that are in the lockeroom that are left over they're stepping into it looking at the younger guys trying to give them a little heads up as far as things we need to do and thats things you can't teach you just gotta kind of let the kids figure that out for themselves and they've got a pride factor they obviously want to try to stay on top and certainly teams are going to try to come in and push them off the top of the hill."
