ND man accused of trying to shoot brotherNov 26 2009 5:16PM
Associated Press Fargo, N.D. (AP) A 24-year-old Fargo man whose Minnesota family was featured on a cable channel reality show has been arrested, accused of trying to shoot one of his brothers. Police say Joseph Heppner pointed a loaded pistol at his 26-year-old brother, Samuel, and pulled the trigger twice. It didn't fire. Joseph told officers that he knew the gun was loaded and that he intended to scare his brother. There was a round in the chamber that apparently misfired. The brothers had gotten into an argument at Samuel's home in Fargo. Heppner remains in Cass County jail, pending $50,000 bail. The brothers are part of the Heppner family of Warroad, Minn., that boasted of 16 children. They were featured in a 2007 Learning Channel series, "Kids by the Dozen."
