Associated Press DARBY, Mont. (AP) State biologists say as many as 30 bighorn sheep have died of pneumonia in southwest Montana. Pneumonia was first detected in the East Fork herd on Nov. 22. Biolgists fear that up to 70 percent of the herd could be lost to the disease. Missoula, Mont. (AP) Researchers at the University of Montana and University of Wyoming are undertaking a study to better understand how water affects movement of the Greenland ice sheet. UM geoscientist Joel Harper says researchers will drill into the ice sheet and use sensors to study how the ice moves over the bedrock below. BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) Montana ranchers are asking state officials to stop giving water use rights to tens of thousands of new homes being built in areas once dominated by Agriculture. A group of Montana ranch owners have filed a petition with the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, charging the state's water rules were stacked against them. HELENA, Mont. (AP) Cable TV pioneer William Bresnan has died of cancer at his home in Greenwich, Conn., at the age of 75.
