He's traveling the lower forty-eight and lending a helping hand in each.

Drew Johnson set out on his 48 by 48 volunteering road trip back in October.

He's spending his time helping others, in 48 states and will complete his trip in 48 weeks. He stopped in Bismarck and has been lending a hand to the United Way.

Drew Johnson says he loves helping people and hopes his messages will inspire others.

(Drew Johnson/Volunteer) "One of the things I am trying to do is get people to realize that volunteering is not just handing out a bowl of soup or working at a thrift store, though those things are just awesome and need to be done, but there is so many different ways to get involved. its not a part time job you are getting, its volunteering, so get out there and serve and help people."


He has already been to nine states. He will travel to Minnesota next and then on to Iowa.
