81year old barn finds new home near ArlingtonDec 17 2009 7:35AM
Associated Press ARLINGTON, S.D. (AP) An 81-year old barn has made a five-mile trip to its new home near Arlington. Leo Faulkner says his father and uncle helped a contractor from Oldham build the barn in the summer of 1928 on his family farm south of Lake Whitewood. His grandfather homesteaded the farm in 1880. The barn has housed many animals over the years including sheep, horses and dairy cows. Faulkner says the new owner plans to restore the barn and use it as a machine shed.
