Mother of slain student to speak at St. Cloud rally

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) The mother of slain University of North Dakota student Dru Sjodin (shuh-DEEN') will speak at the Take Back the Night rally this evening in St. Cloud, Minnesota Linda Walker will address the rally at Barden City Park.

The Pequot (PEE'-kwaht) Lakes, Minnesota woman has become an advocate against sexual violence since her daughter was murdered three years ago by a registered sex offender.

Earlier this month, Alfonso Rodriguez Junior was sentenced to death by a jury in Fargo after being convicted of kidnapping resulting in Sjodin's death.
