Every year, Norsk Høstfest draws visitors from across the country and around the world, and this year's celebration was no exception.

In fact, one group chose the Norwegian festival as the site of its family reunion.

Constance Spannagel grew up in Minot, and moved away when she was in the 5th gradethat was 51 years ago, more than two decades before Høstfest started.

The North Dakota native hadn't returned to her hometown, until now.

She arrived earlier this week, and was greeted by a cousin who had driven from San Diego.

The two met up with other members of the family at the All Seasons Arena, and discussed their expectations for their first Høstfest ...

(Constance Spannagel, Michigan) "My friend that I came out with is Finnish, and my mother was Norwegian, so we're going to probably go to those areas and concentrate mostly on those areas. But looking around, there's so much to see. We're just going to be filling our days with lots of good things."
